Sanitas International Students health insurance is designed exclusively for foreigners studying in Spain. It covers all your needs during your study stay in the country and meets all the requirements of the visa needed for entry and residence.

What does our student health insurance cover?
Sanitas International Students has no co-payments and no waiting periods: you get complete healthcare from day one, with access to medical specialities, diagnostic tests, therapeutic treatments, dental cover, hospitalisation and surgery.
Primary care
General medicine, nursing services and emergencies.
Diagnostic tests
Lab tests, ultrasounds, X-rays, MRIs, endoscopies and CT scans.
Medical specialities
Cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, traumatology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oncology and psychiatry. Excludes obstetrics, childbirth and paediatrics.
Surgery and hospitalisation
Surgical procedures with or without hospital admission, and hospital stays.
Dental cover
Included in the product: basic cover, dental cleanings, X-rays and consultations.
Therapeutic treatments
Rehabilitation, cancer treatments, respiratory therapies, speech and voice therapy, lithotripsy and radiotherapy.
Emergencies abroad
Emergency assistance on trips abroad of up to 90 days.
Repatriation cover
Transfer to your home country in the event of death.

What is Sanitas International Students?
It's Sanitas's health insurance for international students aged 14 to 35 who come to study in Spain. It meets the Extranjería (immigration office) visa requirements: complete care, no co-payments, no waiting periods and repatriation included.

The four that Extranjería asks for: complete healthcare, no waiting period, no co-payment and repatriation cover included.
Which medical specialities does it cover?
General medicine, nursing, emergencies and specialities such as cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, traumatology, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oncology and psychiatry. Excludes obstetrics, childbirth and paediatrics.
What does the dental cover include?
It's included in the product and gives you access to basic cover, dental cleanings, X-rays and consultations at the centres and dentists in the Sanitas network.

What do I need to sign up?
Your passport or residence card and your course enrolment. You can take out cover for stays from 3 months to 1 year, renewable.
