In many cases, yes. Waiting periods are the time between your enrolment and when you can use certain services, such as some surgeries or childbirth. If you've been with another insurer for at least a year, those waiting periods can be reduced or even removed.
Tell us when you request your quote: we'll review it and set it out clearly in writing before you sign. Consultations and simple tests (blood tests, ultrasounds, X-rays) have no waiting period.

Pre-existing conditions are illnesses or injuries you already had before signing up. If that's your case, the Sanitas medical department will call you to assess them before enrolment.
Contracts last 12 months, except Sanitas International Students and Sanitas Estudiantes. They renew automatically unless the policyholder gives notice of non-renewal at least one month in advance.
It's a small amount you pay when you use certain services, which allows for a lower premium. Many Sanitas plans can be taken out with or without co-payment, with the same cover.
No. You pay exactly the same premium as with Sanitas directly, but with a local adviser who helps you choose, answers your questions before you sign and supports you afterwards with every request, adding family members or renewal.
It depends on the plan, the age and the number of insured people. No VAT is added to the price: only the Recargo del Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (Insurance Compensation Consortium surcharge), 0.15% of the net annual premium, paid with the first bill.
